Exfoliate

What is an exfoliant?
An exfoliant includes a scrub or peeling. The dead skin cells are removed and what remains is wonderfully soft skin. By exfoliating every week you also ensure that the cream you use is better absorbed, impurities are less likely to appear and in the summer you will retain your beautiful tan for longer. In the summer you can even exfoliate your skin twice a week, because the skin thickens due to the sun (which is the natural protection mechanism) and can clog the skin more quickly.

Exfoliate
By scrubbing you remove dead skin cells. sugar, coffee beans, sea buckthorn, salt, etc. By moving these granules over your skin you loosen the dead skin cells (dead skin cells lie on top of each other like roof tiles). In addition, a scrub also stimulates blood circulation, which is good for removing waste products. Exfoliating is suitable for most skin types, but not for sensitive, rosacea, couperose or acne skin. Because you can also destroy inflammations through the mechanical movement, there is a chance that the inflammations will spread. The redness that occurs in sensitive skin types decreases very slowly.

What is the best way to use a scrub?
Make sure your skin is cleansed before exfoliating. Wet your skin slightly, apply the scrub with your fingers and make circular movements over the entire face. You can go over all parts of your face several times, but not over the eyes. Then rinse the scrub from your face with water.

Peeling
With a peeling you remove dead skin cells by means of: acids such as salicylic acid, BHA, fruit acids. The acids dissolve the dead skin cells, which with the right acids can be suitable for the most sensitive skin.
A peeling removes dead skin cells just as well as a scrub, but with a scrub you have more of a feeling that something has really happened. So this is just a feeling.

What is the best way to use a peeling?
Make sure your skin is cleansed before applying a peel. Apply the peel to dry skin and use your fingertips to distribute the peel over all parts of your face, except your eyes. Let the peeling work for about 10 to 15 minutes. Then wash your face with water or use a wet washcloth. If your skin starts to burn, remove the peeling immediately. It is allowed to irritate, but not to burn.

Result = radiant skin.
